Good for Gary

Good for Gary is a Twin Cities cover band that plays a variety of tunes. We want to see all of you people moving booty so we try to focus on danceable music, regardless of genre. If you aren’t shakin’ your moneymaker – we aren’t doing our job.

Good for Gary been playing music (both original and covers) in Minnesota clubs for years in various bands. During that time we’ve noticed something. People like to dance to the music the DJ plays during the set breaks. Well – now we’ve decided to play that music. Most bands leave that stuff to the DJs, but why couldn’t it be played live? It could be played live. We are playing it live. We don’t do Nickelback. We don’t do “Brown-Eyed Girl”, “Sweet Caroline”, or “Mustang Sally”. Those are all fine songs, but you won’t hear us playing them. You’re more likely to hear us doing “Let It Rock”, “Just Dance”, and “Gives You Hell”. As a matter of fact – if you’re reading this on our myspace page, you are probably listening to our version of “Golddigger”.

Good for Gary is a 6 piece band including a bunch of vocals, drums, bass, guitar, sax, and keyboards. Some of our songs even use all of these instruments at the same time.
